Fani-Kayode flays British Ambassador

In response to recent comments from the British ambassador, Benedict Llewellyn-Jones, calling for him to be reprimanded, former Minister of Culture and Tourism, Femi Fani-Kayode made known his displeasure in quite a verbose tweet ().

The former minister called the diplomat an interloper in matters that do not concern him or his government. He dared the ambassador to do his very worst, saying that he, Fani-Kayode, feared no man and bowed to no one.

Fani-Kayode said he stands by his statement that lagos is not a no man’s land and belongs to the Yorubas and won’t apologise.

He noted that the diplomat and the country he represents do not have the moral grounds to sit in judgement over any country as theirs was built on the blood, sweat, and tears of Irish, African and Indian people.

The former Minister said,

“They cannot enter the political ring of fire. They cannot tell us how to vote, who to vote for, how to worship, what God to praise, who to marry, who not to marry and which party to support. Neither can they threaten or impose their double standards and ‘woke’ and ‘globalist’ values on us.”

He also threatened,

“I will take up this matter formally. His diplomatic  immunity is not absolute: it is qualified, and he is therefore subject to our laws.”
