Femi Fani-Kayode has condemned the threat made by Eze Ndigbo of Ajao Estate, Lagos, Frederick Nwajagu. Nwajagu made the statement in response to attacks on Igbo people in Lagos State.
Fani-Kayode responded via Twitter, holding Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), and his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, responsible for the Igbo leader’s threats.
He stated, “Peter Obi and Datti the Daft have encouraged and endorsed their violent and subversive behaviour with their inciting comments and utterances, and we hold them accountable.”
He expressed concern over the increasing tensions between ethnic groups in Nigeria and called for divisive and inflammatory rhetoric to end.
Lagos State Police Command and the Department of State Services (DSS) have arrested Nwajagu for threatening to invite IPOB to the state.
The incident highlights the ongoing ethnic tensions in Nigeria and the need for unity and peaceful coexistence among all ethnic groups.
