There have been many reactions in the aftermath of the alleged leak of a call between Labour Party Presidential candidate Peter Obi and Living Faith Church General Overseer David Oyedepo. Many of his supporters have called it an AI-generated deep fake, and others have called it a definitive confirmation of the Presidential candidate’s Bigotry.
Fani-Kayode is one of the posts this morning at 6:03 AM he put out a tweet () calling on religious leaders to put some distance between themselves and Peter Obi’s call for a religious war.
The Former Minister for Culture and Tourism said that if religious leaders must dabble in politics that they must be discerning, reasonable, fair, impartial, wise, and balanced and they must stop being partisan. He said they must not condemn others for their choices and speak truth to power, which he feels is their responsibility as religious leaders.
Fani-Kayode calls on them to shed their religious bias as Nigeria belongs not just to Christians but to all of us, many of who do not subscribe to the Christian religion.
