Otubure Godbless, State Coordinator for the #NotToYoungToRun movement, in an interview granted on channels news, has asked the newly elected governors and those who got re-elected to get out of the way of the youth.
He said that often the youth are trying to find a way to succeed in Nigeria’s dysfunctional system. The government actively tries to stop them.
Otubure called Nigeria’s “Ease of doing business initiative” a step in the right direction. This will provide access to resources for the youths to bring their ideas to fruition.
He also touched on our educational system, saying, “It doesn’t prepare a young person to be productive in society”. He suggested that those in power should prioritize digital training for the young people of Nigeria to meet the ever-rising demand for skilled digital workers.
