Former Senator and current PDP member Adeseye Ogunleye shared his opinions on the just concluded elections and the rise in divisive tribal sentiment birthed due to violence during both elections.
When asked his position by the Arise TV reporters on the opinion that non-indigenes of Lagos should have no business trying to run the state or even getting involved in state politics, the Senator had this to say “it’s a daydream to assume that you can relegate people who have become a large percentage of your population in that manner. Anyone who thinks like that is not facing reality.”
Senator Ogunleye advised his kinsmen and party member that there was a need to restrategize and that they had found a way to win, which involved the non-Yoruba residents of Lagos.
He warned, “Don’t push them to the wall because they are not like us. They are more aggressive than us.”
