Despair not – Obi to Nigerians during Easter/Ramadan

Peter Obi, the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, offers a message of hope and encouragement to Nigerians, especially the youth, amidst the numerous challenges and tribulations currently faced by the nation. In a series of tweets released on Saturday, he commemorated the Easter and Ramadan celebrations of Christians and Muslims, respectively.

Obi wished all Christians a happy Easter celebration, praying that the message and blessings of the resurrection will remain with them. He then extended special greetings and prayers to Muslims observing the Ramadan fasting period, with hopes for a joyous Eid El Fitr celebration.

Despite the nation’s difficulties, Obi urged Nigerians to remain united and trust in God’s mercies and infinite benevolence. He specifically encouraged the youth not to give in to despair, stating, “Given that we are all united as brothers and sisters… I urge all Nigerians, particularly the youths not to despair in the face of many challenges and tribulations that we are facing as a country.”

Obi expressed gratitude to God for his blessings on Nigeria and prayed for a better, more equitable, and prosperous country. He called for accountable leadership, peace, and unity to reign, saying, “Equity, fairness, peace, unity, accountable leadership, and prosperity shall reign.”

In these challenging times, Peter Obi’s message offers a glimmer of hope and reminds Nigerians of their unity as a people. It is a call to persevere and trust that better days are ahead.
