Kenneth Okonkwo, actor turned politician and a spokesperson for the Labour Party has not hesitated to spring to the defence of his party and Principals, Peter Obi and Datti Baba-Ahmed. Today is no different as he posted an old Channels Tv interview Between Seun Okin and then Vice-Presidential candidate of the APC Professor Yemi Osibanjo.
Mr. Okonkwo captioned the video with “Datti Baba-Ahmed is a Political Saint!! Those who live in a glass house must not throw stones.” In the video, the Professor can be seen and heard defending a statement from the APC calling for a parallel government.
Mr. Osibanjo said calls for a parallel government were not “inciting” and wouldn’t lead to violence. He said that these calls were a result of the incumbent government ignoring the voice of the electorate and were therefore justified as a way to take a stand and put the government under pressure.
Mr. Okonkwo’s post is a tactic to draw a clear parallel between Datti Baba-Ahmed and Professor Osibanjo, as Datti never actually called for a parallel government or interim administration but the Osibanjo did.
