Cash/Fuel Scarcity Are Lethal Injections To Frustrate Tinubu, Truncate Election – Akeredolu

The Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, has alleged that the current fuel and cash scarcity plaguing Nigeria was intentionally planned and deployed to frustrate the 2023 elections. The Governor stated that those behind the lack particularly have the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, as their target because they do not want to respect the principle of power rotation. He also stated that the plan will cause a national crisis and frustrate the 2023 general elections by creating an artificial fuel scarcity and the naira.

Akeredolu, who made his mind known during a state broadcast on Thursday morning, further alleged that the two issues are lethal injections deliberately administered to demarket the All Progressives Congress (APC) government, create an uncontrollable crisis in the nation, and finally frustrate the 2023 general elections. Despite the allegations, he urged the people to resist every temptation to cause a breakdown of law and order but go out peacefully and vote for Tinubu and all other APC candidates.

Speaking further, Akeredolu empathised with the people over the hardship caused by the fuel and naira scarcity. He also vowed that his administration would continue to work for the people and make life more comfortable for them. The governor stated that the ill-timed Cash Swap Policy and the artificial scarcity of fuel are lethal injections deliberately administered to demarket the government, create an uncontrollable crisis in the nation, brew disaffection between the people and government, finally frustrate the 2023 general elections.

As the nation trudges on, Akeredolu believes that the resolve to deepen democracy and good governance must remain steadfast and abiding. Despite the desperate efforts by selfish and subversive elements within the government to destroy the multiparty politics in Nigeria, the dividends of good governance brought to the people by the All Progressives Congress (APC) remain indelible in the recent history of the state in particular and the nation in general.

The Governor urged the people to troop out massively and vote for the APC on Saturday to choose a President who represents hope and assures brighter days ahead. He stated that this is the time to separate the past from the future. The Governor reiterated the need to vote for a President who identifies with their challenges. He would help establish the Ondo Deep Sea Port and Massive Industrial Revolution, tackle youth unemployment, and achieve their dream of creating State Police to solve their insecurity problem and develop human capacity.

Finally, Akeredolu urged the people to remain calm and avoid violence before, during, and after the election. He urged them to vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and all other candidates of the APC in the Senate and House of Representatives.
