The Independent National Electoral Commission just declared Alex Otti, The Labour Party Governorship Candidate as the Governor-Elect of Abia state amid cries of celebration.
In what must have seemed a cliffhanger moment to residents of Abia State and Nigeria as a whole, the announcement of the winner of the gubernatorial elections in Abia state was suspended and moved to Abuja. Many citizens expressed distrust and anxiety about the move already assuming the worst.
Today, Collation was resumed, and finally, the Labour Party candidate, Otti emerged as the winner. Social media and the streets of Abia state are full of celebration, especially from members and supporters of the Labour Party.
