BringBackOurGirls Activist and Peter Obi supporter Aisha Yesufu has blasted British High Commissioner to Nigeria Catriona Laing for comments she made endorsing the presidential elections.
When asked about her overall impression of the elections, the Ambassador said, “I was here till the last election, and I finished with this election, and I’m impressed with Nigeria’s democratic journey. Yes, a bit of a setback, but overall, I see this as good, and Nigeria should be proud but with a clear difference when I came in 2019.”
Aisha heatedly called out the high commissioner in a video on her Twitter page
“The same thing you would not accept in your own country, is what you endorse in our country and you sit down and are fascinated by an election that is marred with violence because its a horror film you can watch live happen”
She said, “you’re fine with a few dying because those few are not part of your families; those few are not your citizens.”
