$10B Fund: Atiku Promises to fund Businesses and Reactivate Abia Dry Port

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), at his rally in Umuahia yesterday, promised to support South East businesses.

NewsedUP Reporter gathered that Atiku, through his running mate, Okowa, announced that their government would set aside $10 billion to support businesses in South Eastern Nigeria. The rally took place at the Umuahia Township Stadium.

The former vice president of Nigeria also said rehabilitation of federal roads and provision of railways would be part of his government’s urgent plan when voted to power.

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar further expressed his desire to create an enabling environment for business in the state. He recalled being part of the team that worked for the approval of the Abia Dry Port. It would only be his pleasure to ensure that the dry port is functional again.
