Obi Lawson, also known as Obidiz, has eventually reacted to the threat by Mercy Chinwo. Earlier, Mercy threatens to issue a 2 Billion Naira lawsuit against him for libel through her lawyer, Pelumi Olajengbesi.
Pelumi Olajengbesi wrote Obidiz mandating him to remove his song entitled ‘Mercy Chinwo’ from all digital music outlets. And to stop using her name and image in secular music audio and video.
She cautioned that failure to do so would draw legal action, including approaching the court to award N2 billion damages against him.
According to the Daily Times Twitter handle, Obidiz said he only sang a song, adding that he didn’t commit murder.
He clarified that the song was about a lady he met.
He wrote,
“Na song I sing I no kill person.
“Mercy Chinwo for church o but for club na Cardi B set’ Talks about a girl I met, na she I sing about but una wan crucify me,” Obidiz said.
