Dr. Ramon Adedoyin has been sentenced to death by hanging. Osun State high court gave the judgement on Tuesday, May 30, sentenced him and others to death for killing a student of Obafemi Awolowo University, Timothy Adegoke. Ramon Adedoyin is owner of Hilton Hotel in Ile Ife, where the incident happened.
Timothy Adegoke was a student of Obafemi Awolowo University, who had gone for an examination in Ile-Ife. His plan was to stay in the hotel till he finishes the examination before the unfortunate incident. The family and friends of Timothy, declared him missing after they couldn’t reach him.
However, after investigation, Police arrested Adedoyin and his staff for the conspiracy and murder of Timothy Adegoke.
At the court preceding, the Chief Judge of the state, Justice Adepele Ojo stated that Adedoyin’s refusal to testify whether or not he’s innocent, shows that he and his staff are guilty of the crime.
Lastly, Justice Ojo dismissed the alibi’s plea who said that his counsel, Adedoyin was not within the state when the killing happenjeAdegoke was killed.
