Former US President Donald Trump was arrested today at the federal courthouse in Miami for mishandling classified documents.
Trump has been faced with 37 felony counts, alleging that he retained national defence information and engaged in concealing the document, which is against the law.
Trump’s attorney requested for a jury during the arraignment of the former President at the federal courthouse in Miami. “We most certainly enter a plea of not guilty,” Trump attorney Todd Blanche told the Judge.
As reported by CNN, they were not expected to take a mugshot of Trump because he can be identified easily. However, Deputy marshals took copies of his fingerprints.
The hearing scheduled for Tuesday will be for the “initial appearance” and also arraignment of Trump. He will have the opportunity to enter his plea in the case.
