Emdee Tiamiyu, a Nigerian Youtuber in the UK, said Nigerians migrating to the United Kingdom used schooling as a ploy to gain entry into the country. In the trending video, the Emdee category stated that the majority of Nigerians applying for study visas do not need the degrees but use the degrees as an access road into the United Kingdom.

The interview now stands a chance to end the trending Japa from Nigeria to the United Kingdom. There is a plan by the U.K. government to create a new law that will ban Nigerians and some other countries from bringing family and dependents entering the U.K., except in specific circumstances. However, Nigerians believed this was a result of the BBC interview with Emdee Tiamiyu.
