Nigerian singer, Simi has said her colleague, Habeeb Okikiola, famously known as Portable, deserves “flowers” despite his contentious nature.
Remember that Portable was trending after he was apprehended in a viral video opposing arrest by police operatives. He was arrested and detained for three days before being charged before an Ogun State Magistrate Court, sitting in Ifo, on a three-count charge of bothering on raid and theft of musical kit.
He later consented to N800,000 bail; however, the Magistrate ordered that Portable be conserved at the correctional centre in Ilaro pending the exemplar of his bail conditions.
After his discharge, the Zazu crooner dropped a new song titled ‘Federal Government Liability’. He boasted in the music that he didn’t wear a prison livery while at the correctional centre in Ilaro.
His new song aroused mixed reactions.
Praising Portable’s solidity, Simi said, deserves accolades.
She tweeted, “Gotta give Portable his flowers, lol.”
