Famous Nigerian musician, David Adeleke, professionally known by his stage name Davido, has talked about losing individuals in his life.
Talking about losing those he loved, including his only son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, Davido noted that he devoted a tune from his new album ‘Timeless’ to them, according to @yabaleftonline official Twitter account.
Davido, whose album Timeless was released today, March 31, described those he had lost as legends.
Recall that the megastar lost his only son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, on October 31, 2022, after losing his dearest friend and bodyguard.
According to the singer in the trending interview on social media, Legends Can Never Die. The latest song was composed as an outcome of his admission that even though they are no longer with him physically, he still feels their spiritual existence around him.
”Like over time. Even everybody knows that I lost my mother at 10. Losing my best friend and my bodyguard in one to two years, losing a child and all that together.
”I don’t think the song is sorrowful. I just feel like since I have lost all of them, I don’t want to really feel like they have left me spiritually. I still have them around me a kind of. They were all legends. So that’s why I say that a legend never dies.,” he said.
He noted that the music is dedicated to everyone who has lost one or more dear ones.
