Chinese -American singer Coco Lee dies at age 48 after committing suic*de. Her family members took to social media platforms to announce the passing away of the singer.
According to them, the songwriter and singer has been battling depression and attempted suicide on several on July 2, but failed.
They wrote that she had been battling her mental health for a long time. “She had been going to treatment, and she has been taking her treatment.”
The sister of the Asian pop diva confirmed her death, saying, “With great sadness, we are here to break the most devastating news: Coco has been suffering from depression for a few years, but her condition deteriorated drastically over the last few months”.
Her sister Nancy Lee added that, the demon inside of her (Coco) finally took the best of her”
Coco was a Hong Kong-born American singer, record producer, dancer and actress. She broke into the music scene in Hong Kong and Taiwan in the 1990s. She has sold ten million of Chinese and English albums.
