The Nigerian Labour Congress(NLC) has urged its members to converge on Central Bank offices nationwide. NLC President, Joe Ajaero who spoke to reporters said economic activities will be ceased across the nation effective next Wednesday.
Previously on March 13, 2023, the NLC served a seven-day ultimatum to the Federal Government asking for speedy actions to soften the effects of the cash crunch and fuel scarcity or face industrial action by Nigerian workers.
Ajaero said industrial action was the trump card they had after exhausting other means of trying to make the Federal Government acknowledge the plight of the Nigerian people.
