Fuel Subsidy, A Scam Ran by NNPC – Isa Yuguda. The former Governor of Bauchi and a former Chairman of the Sub-Committee on Subsidy in 2008 and 2009 stated that his committee discovered the scam on subsidy and made recommendations. It was unfortunate that the recommendations were not implemented.
It is sad to know that Subsidies were claimed for pipelines that do not exist—those in subsidy scams filled papers and prepared invoices to claim subsidy payments.
There was an instance of a pipeline that was supposed to exist between Lagos and Warri, and tons and tons of money were collected on subsidy on a pipeline that never existed.

Isa Yuguda made this statement during a live interview TV session. According to him [Yuguda] fuel subsidy has mostly been a scam run by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) in conjunction with marketers and other stakeholders in the oil sector.
