AEDC confirmed an increase in Electricity Tariff on July 1 2023. The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has stated that there will be an upward review of electricity tariff from Jul 1 2023.
According to AEDC, effective July 1st 2023, please be informed that the fluctuating exchange rate will influence an upward review of the electricity tariff.
Under the MYTO 2022 guidelines, the previously set exchange rate of N441/$1 may now be revived to appropriately N750/$1, which will have an impact on the tariffs associated with your electricity consumption.
Therefore, AEDC advises consumers to buy as many electricity units as possible in bulk.
