Akufo-Addo, President of Ghana, during his speech at the Commissioning of the Dangote Refinery, stated categorically that this spectacular project will make West Africa Better and Stronger. He congratulated the distinguished patriotic son of Africa for the brilliant initiative.
A successful economy largely depends on Entrepreneurs running successful businesses. We need to put vigorously in West Africa the culture of entrepreneurship so that we can grow our economy and become prosperous. There is no greater symbol of entrepreneurship in the 21st Century in West Africa and indeed Africa than this iconic Nigerian entrepreneur. He compares Aliko Dangote with the like of Gates and Mark Zuckerburg.
The Ghanaian President also appreciated Aliko Dangote for his great achievements for the African people – Ayeeko, Well done! We have come from far and near – we are all proud of you and your achievements. The Almighty has invested in our land with abundant natural resources. Many countries on the continents are just discovering them. The development and industrialization of today’s wealthy nations were also on the exploitation of their natural resources.
Furthermore, we must add value to these resources and not export them in their raw form if we must transmit them to developed countries status. Effective management of these resources will depend to a large extent on whether we make it or not. I’m confident that establishing the Dangote Refinery and Petrochemical companies will help us realise this dream as quickly as possible.
