Breaking: Tinubu Declared Winner of the 2023 Presidential Election

Professor Mahmood Yakubu, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), announced Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as the winner of the 2023 presidential election. This announcement came after Tinubu scored the highest number of votes 8,794,726 to defeat Atiku and Obi; other presidential candidates:

  • Tinubu, the All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate
  • Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) scored 9,984,520.
  • Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) scored 6,101,533.
  • Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria People Party (NNPP) scored 1,496,687.

Tinubu, during his acceptance speech, appreciates all the supporters and promises to make Nigeria great.

The president-elect specially thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for his support throughout the campaign. He appreciated the effort by his vice president-elect, Kashim Shettima, and the progressive governors in Nigeria.
